Portfolio Magic is provided by Discovery Coaching, LLC ("we", "us"). It's a private portfolio dashboard for tracking your household's brokerage accounts. You bring your holdings in one of two ways: manually uploading an exported statement file, or connecting your own SnapTrade account and running our optional Sync Agent on your own computer to sync automatically. Either way, your portfolio data is encrypted on your own device before it's ever sent to us — we store only ciphertext we cannot read. By creating an account or otherwise using Portfolio Magic, you agree to these Terms of Service.
Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to use Portfolio Magic. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.
Account Security: You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.
Prohibited Use: You may not use Portfolio Magic for any illegal purpose, attempt to circumvent security measures or access controls, or use it to harm others.
Portfolio Magic is currently offered free of charge, with no paid plans. If we introduce a paid plan in the future, this section will be updated to describe subscription tiers, billing, and cancellation/refund terms before that plan launches.
Content you submit to Portfolio Magic belongs to you. We use it only to provide and improve the service and to comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Portfolio Magic — including its design, branding, and all non-user-generated content — is owned by Discovery Coaching, LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may use the service for its intended purpose only; you may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from its own content or branding without written permission.
Read this carefully: Portfolio Magic is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure.
Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Discovery Coaching, LLC, its officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of Portfolio Magic. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months prior to the claim, or $100, whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions/limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Discovery Coaching, LLC and its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of Portfolio Magic or your violation of these Terms or any third-party rights.
We collect account information and, if you sign in with Google or Microsoft or via a magic sign-in link, basic profile information (such as your email and name) to create and authenticate your account. Your portfolio data — balances, holdings, and positions — is encrypted on your own device (or your own computer, if you use the optional Sync Agent) before it's ever sent to us; we store only ciphertext and cannot read it. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. See our full Privacy Policy for details.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice before the changes take effect. Continued use of Portfolio Magic after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
By You: You may cancel your account at any time.
By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our sole discretion, with notice when reasonably possible. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of Discovery Bay, CA, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Discovery Coaching, LLC regarding Portfolio Magic.
No Waiver / Assignment: Our failure to enforce any provision does not waive it. You may not assign these Terms; we may do so without restriction.
